This pencil is special. The benefits of REMBRANDT SPLENDER can best be seen in a coloured drawing, using REMBRANDT POLYCOLOR. At first one should work on various coloured areas to learn about the property of the SPLENDER. As the colour chart shows, four colours have been applied working from left to right, applying full colour on
the left with reduced colour application to the right. The lower half has then been worked over with the SPLENDER which has been applied like a colouring pencil over the coloured areas. A little bit of pressure is necessary. After application one achieves a result from a dense colour to a reduced area which has a glossy surface. This is why the name SPLENDER comes from splendid. The same results can be achieved with mixed colours i.e. blue and red equal violet. The type and quality of paper used is very important.
