A specially formulated gesso forms a bright, velvety surface on warp-resistant Hardbord™ that is ready to use for encaustic painting. The ground is heat resistant, highly absorbent, and holds tight to layers of wax without the fear of cracking or separation.

Highly Versatile

The lightly textured, absorbent surface is great with mixed media and can be used with both wet and dry media. Use Encausticbord with charcoal, PanPastel, colored pencil, heavy paint applications, graphic markers, collage, acrylic, and more.

Ampersand’s premium, warp-resistant, FSC-certified Hardbord™ ensures your artwork is supported to prevent damage from warping, bowing, or movement.

Minimum Shipping charge. Minimum Shipping is $12 AUD, this covers postage, labour time, packing supplies, etc.

Australian Freight:
Metro Melbourne: $12AUD, will be sent express, unless bulky or flammable (bulky includes large canvas, large paper, large boxes and flammable includes aerosol cans which can never be sent by the express method)

Free Freight: All of Victoria when purchase is over $200AUD

Other Australian Freight: $12.00AUD - Country VIC, ACT, NSW, TAS, SA, QLD, WA & NT

International New Zealand Freight: $25.00AUD

Oversized Packages Larger than 30" / 76cm Freight: $50.00AUD *You will be contacted if freight substantially exceeds this due to weight or delivery location. We will discuss freight with you in these circumstances as an extra charge may be applicable. This includes some oversized Canvas', Easels, Tables/Desks, Stretcher bars and papers.

Australian Express: $15.00AUD
-Aerosol & Flammable items cannot go Express (they will be sent vis Australia Post Parcel service)
-'Express' postage indicates your parcel is sent using the 'Express Post' service provided through Australia Post. This does NOT indicate order priority, as there still may be wait times to get items in stock from suppliers. If you require your purchase Quickly please contact us to confirm we have your items in stock.

Please allow 7-10 Business days for your order to be delivered. But usually is faster.
Orders will be dispatched as fast as possible, dispatch is subject to Australia Post opening hours and public holidays.
As our website does not indicate in-stock items, we may have to wait for deliveries from our suppliers to get items in-stock, which can cause slight postage delays.

You will receive an Order confirmation email when your order is placed.
You will receive a Dispatched Shipping email with a Tracking Number.

Packaging

Please note we recycle as many of our packing materials from stock deliveries, PLEASE OPEN ALL PACKAGING BOXES AND PINK MAILER BAGS to identify products directly. Some packing boxes may bear old labels from other products than those safely packaged within.

Paper sheets will be sent, flat packed, in a custom made box.
